FIGHTING FOR EVERY WORKER.

Whether you hang iron, work the rod patch, weld in a fabrication shop, or anything in between: You are an Ironworker. And Ironworkers deserve fair pay, respect, and a union contract.

You bust your ass every day making the company money.

You work weekends and overtime, missing precious family time just to make ends meet.

If you’re giving your company solid work and getting nothing in return,

it’s time to demand better—it’s time to organize!

Ironworker Organizing News

The time to act is now!

For ourselves. For our families. For our futures. Workers across the country are forming unions at their workplaces. Workers are standing up and demanding fair treatment and a union contract!

What does it mean to organize?

When workers at a company decide to stick together and fight for a change at work... that is organizing. Never underestimate the power you and your coworkers have on the job when you stand shoulder to shoulder. When workers fight as one, the fight is won.

FAQs

  • The first step is talking to an Organizer. When you and your coworkers decide to form a union, there are steps to take throughout the process. Don’t worry though, we’ll be with you every step of the way. Organizing is about fighting together.

  • Most employers don’t want to be union because it makes it easier for them to take advantage of the workers. Forming a union is YOUR choice, and your coworkers’ choice. Not your employer.

  • We won’t say anything. Unions are about protecting the workers and defending workers from unfair treatment and retaliation from their employer. It is in nobody’s best interest for the employer to find out about an organizing drive before the campaign is public.

  • Workers all over the country are forming unions. Even in right to work states. Federal law gives you the right to form or join a union, and no state wide anti-worker laws can take that away.
